Beautifully shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Szigmond (DELIVERANCE, MCCABE & MRS. MILLER) and hauntingly scored by acclaimed composer Bruce Langhorne, THE HIRED HAND is a sensitive drama that prompted Jane Fonda to declare that her brother had made the first feminist Western.
