Good actors/characters, fun story line!
I do not know how faithful the script is to Kipling's story, but the rendition in the movie is a delight. I like Sean Connery and Michael Cain in most everything they have done. The plot is a fantastic yarn of the adventure of two scoundrels, who have decided that India has become to small for them, especially considering the restrictions under British Rule. Their solution? Leave and go conquer another territory, and become kings. I don't recommend this for children, too many thing adults may have to explain. Should be o.k. for most adults, except for the most prudish!

Good movie, not "mint" condition
Advertised as mint. When arrived, sticky note on opened package explained that movie was opened to view and make sure it played. WTH? That is not mint. That used, opened and used. Movie is great, and good value. Just wish ad had been a little more accurate. Price point was good though.

A favorite movie
I purchased the movie to share with my grandsons. It’s a classic story by Kipling. It was funny and sad and reflected a truism that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Masterpiece of acting
A classic of British Colonialism that mixes Kipling, comedy, drama, adventure, and tragedy. A masterpiece and amazing performances by Sean Connery, Michael Cine, Christopher Plummer, as well as the entire cast and extras!

It is one of the most well liked classics.
I saw this when it first came out. Later on I bought the VHS. But, of course, there is no more VHS. So, I wanted to replace it in my collection. It's a classic, a perfect example of human nature.

A true classic
A true classic This is a great movie. Sean Connery and Michael Cain together are a fantastic paring. They work so well together. The movie has a wonderful story line with lots of action. I highly recommend it.

Man who would be king dvd
Great movie with Sean Connery & Michael Caine how power will change passion into obsession. How man tries to be a god but still dies and faces to true God. movie came in good time & brand new. Fair price. thank you

The Man Who Would Be King. Excellent.
I first saw this movie when it was first released in the theater, at the age of 10. I Loved It then, and I continue to Love this movie. I have seen it many times, and will continue to watch it many more. It is so beautifully written and acted. It far surpasses many of the current formula movies offered today. Buy this DVD. Enjoy.

A Ripping Yarn!
This is one of my 10 favorite films of all time! Caine and Connery are superb and the story is absorning.

Great Kipling story about India of course. A must see.
