Ryan Gosling a writing and directing talent
His debut film is visually stunning. It feels a little Harmony Korine meets David Lynch meets Nicolas Refn, but that's great company to be in. Most of the critics are panning this film, but that should take another look because the film is so rich with color, composition, characters and fine editing that it is really a well-crafted feature. I hope Mr. Gosling sticks with it and directs more and he has a wonderfully artistic eye and his storytelling will only get better with age.
