One surprise.
Never thought to check if this router had a phone line port, it doesn't. Instead of getting rid of the cable company's modem, I had to get a cable splitter so I could use their modem just for my phone. Not the best option
I like that the unit is compact compared to the Comcast router/modem I used to have. But in terms of the performance, I feel this is not as powerful as the Comcast unit. When talking over the phone and walking around the house the call could simply drop out. And conversations could also be cutted out or have intermittent audio. So overall is better than be paying 11.00 a month for a rental but is not all that better performance wise than the Comcast unit.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Best wifi coverage we've ever had!
Pros: Powerful wifi coverage with a stable modem and a compact form factor; no visible antennas. Cons: overly sensitive to competing signals; USB printer port requires a download & resets at every login... We are very pleased with the modem/router, but it has a few weaknesses; nearby signals on the 2.4mHz channels will knock it off the air until reset (we switched to 5G). Excellent product. I paid Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) $10/month rental for their cable modem. I purchased this one and paid $80 for it. And I just got my money back in savings. Now every $10/month savings is money earned on my part. Love it!!!! Compatible with Cox !!
Absolutely Love this Device. Had the preferred package from Cox, and upgraded to Ultimate, because my wife and I are doing a lot of streaming video, i.e. Hulu, Netflix, and so on. started noticing pauses, and sometimes stops all together. Not any more. I have read articles about activating the modem through Cox, and I had the same problem, I would see the network on my laptop, but could not access the internet, and the tech could not see my modem .Come to find out, I wrote down the wrong mac address ,and gave the tech the wrong information. I mistook a zero ( 0 ) for the letter O . Once that was corrected, it connected beautifully. So double, and triple check your mac address, off of the modem itself . Works well. Could be better.

TP-Link, you've earned yourself a new customer
A MUCH better deal than paying the $15 a month for the Xfinity rental! I get the same speeds and range, don't have to pay a rental fee, and I get to keep it forever! If you're currently renting a modem/router I suggest you replace it immediately as you'll save a lot in the end. I used to only purchase Netgear routers but decided to give this a try, since it was so competitively priced, and I definitely prefer the router settings page of this over any Netgear routers I've owned in the past.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Very good WiFi modem
