Great EDC knife. Very light and very sharp
Have been carrying a William Henry knife for years. Very nice but on the small side. Wanted something a little bigger but not heavier. This was a nice find. A considerably larger blade than my Henry but still under 2oz. Very happy with it and it is now my EDC.

I love the knife but I hate the rigmarole of writing these stupid reviews. I give you everything but a title and you still wouldn't post it.
simple unassuming quality. The blade is nice and spicy and the access lock keeps it secure. Can be used with confidence. I love it!

Deserving of its reputation
What hasn't already been said about the Bugout? For its weight and size, it's just an amazing knife. It's also FUN to "play" with (with its smooth action and Axis lock). I've already used mine on a dayhike, and next up is a multi-day backpacking trip. I know it will be a great companion on all adventures I have in my future. Is it as robust as, say, a Spyderco Paramilitary 2? No, but the PM2 is also twice the weight. For most EDC-needs, the Bugout is more than adequate. Also, LOVE the Benchmade Life-Sharp service. Looking forward to using my knife so much that it needs the Benchmade "spa service". I know it will come back as near-to-new as I could ever hope for. Yes, Benchmade knives are expensive, but they're made in the US (yes, that matters), and are of high quality. Yes, the Chinese are making some pretty incredible knives for less, but something just doesn't sit will with me there. Glad I have a Bugout as part of my knife collection.

Cheap for a 100 dollar knife
As for weight and size...great! As for my thoughts on heavy field use...not so good. I’ve several Benchmades and love them. This one is my outlier. If just feels cheap and not substantial. I’m sure it will do well for an office box opener. The blade is sharp and well balanced out of the box. I would spent the money differently if I could do it slim again.

It's a Benchmade, alright.
Perfect benchmade quality indeed. Very nice fit and finish packed into a practical and attractive small frame. Despite the past few BM knives I've purchased coming with unfinished edges the bevel grind on this one was spot on. Quite toothy straight out of the package but a few strokes with some crock sticks and a nice strip afterwards never fails to reveal a hair popping and razor sharp edge. I guess I just like them a little more sharp than they usually come. In times past i ha e reprofiled on a KME but decided to take a different approach. Glad I did.. crock sticks and strop for the win! :) 10/10 in my book!

Light as a feather and tough as a bull.
Simply one of the finest knives anyone can purchase. They are great for the hard-working everyday users of knives on the job, or they are also works of mechanical art for the collecting enthusiast. I love Benchmark knives and products and this one is no exception. Excellent!!!!

Good knife, needs a wire clip.
It is a good knife and I like it. The scale flex doesn't bother me. I can't really use it at work much, I am a woodworker and the pocket clip scratches everything it touches (including vehicle paint). I wish Benchmade used the awesome wire clips that Spyderco and the Italian knifemakers are so good at. I also wonder how much these would cost without the butterfly tax too, probably as little as a lightweight para 3 ($98 at knifecenter).

great edc choice
nothing but good things to say about this knife. weighs nothing, sharp as a razor, great ergos and ofcourse it has the amazing axis lock. worth every penny.

Benchmade bugout
An awesome knife very lightweight and sharp Cuts Like Crazy you don't even know what's in your pocket you forget it's there it's so light plus excellent quality for the money you can't beat it I plan on buying another one
