Jackson wrote eight songs for the album, which also includes other originals and a couple of well-known standards of the genre. THE BLUEGRASS ALBUM will be released on ACR (Alan's Country Records)/EMI Records Nashville and is produced by Keith Stegall and Jacksons nephew, Adam Wright.

Alan Jackson & Bluegrass Music....do the math! It's very good!
I enjoyed this album just like most anything that Alan Jackson has released. He does a fantastic job and the songs sound great while he retains that "vintage" bluegrass sound. If you like Bluegrass music and you like Alan Jackson, you will like this. I only deducted one star because this CD left me wanting to hear more. Maybe he will follow this up with more Bluegrass albums in the future.

Alan Jackson Bluegrass Country Roots
Alan Jackson goes back to the roots of country with this album. I was inspired to buy it after watching the new Ken Burns "Country Music' on PBS. Really a good listen.

Alan Jackson bluegrass CD
A new dimension to Alan Jackson’s music. As a fan of his music you should not be put off because this is on the bluegrass side. Excellent music and many songs were written/co-written by the artist. Well worth a listen.
