Great historical drama

Cromwell is Historic!
Cromwell is one of those relatively unknown big budget costume dramas of the late 60's and 70's that executes itself very well. All the actors are pro's and the sets are lavish. Not a musical like Dr. Zhivago, but more like Lawrence of Arabia... If you enjoy this kind of film, then check this out! I ran into it accidentally, and wanted to see the whole thing as a result. Great historical drama that has aged well
This was one of my favorite movies when I was a senior in high school. I saw it at least five times in the movies theater. Therefore, I was greatly pleased to find it on DVD! The production is great. Oliver Cromwell is beautifully portrayed in this version. This era of history is where our democractic concepts evolved.
