BOOTLEG!!!!!!
BEWARE BOOTLEG!!!! This is NOT authentic Walt Disney. The DVDs have blurry covers (in the photo, the top Gold Collection DVD is authentic - see how blurry the set below is? - BOOTLEG!), when played they are blurry and the music slightly distorted. There are no Disney previews/commercials, as all Disney movies have. There are also no chapter selections based on scenes (only 4 "chapters" per movie and not starting or ending at any particular scenes), no credits and such either. 100% BOOTLEG!

An Almost Complete Collection
A wonderful collection of Disney films. It even includes the highly controversial film, Song of the South. However, it is missing around 4 classics in its collection: The Aristocats, The Rescuers, Beauty and the Beast (animated), and The Princess and the Frog. With these four films added to the collection, it would turn this 12 disc collection to a 14 disc one! 24 Disney Classics, many of them hard to find
24 Disney Classics, many of them hard to find because of their age, and the fact that Disney only made them available occasionally for limited release. Here they all are in one collection and they make for memorable viewings. I enjoy the older ones, especially, because they are richer in their story telling. Disney did not censor their characters' images or actions at that time, not worried about offending some viewers' sensibilities. They tell a story, convey a message, and leave you with definite feelings from the experience. Many of these stories could not be made today without softening the important points of the story for fear of offending some social group or other. Too bad. That is the point of story telling. Uncle Remus and Song of the South could not be made today. Too bad, there were some powerful messages in that film, just like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty. Pinocchio or even Dumbo. Softened images and CGI spectacles stir emotions but they lack the potency and message of a story well told. All sizzle but no steak. Disney's storytelling talent still stands out. Most of the movies work but #3 does not work correctly.
This set of DVD movies are entertaining. The only problem so far is on Disc #3 the movie "Song of the South" does NOT work. It misses throughout the whole movie. I am going to contact the gentleman I purchased this from and see if he won't replace the #3 disc. If not I will have to return the whole set.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
