Great health tracking smart watch
The Samsung Galaxy Active 2 is one of best smart health tracking watch on the market today. It does all the main health tracking activities and monitor your heart pulse from manual to continuous. The heart rate measurements are very accurate compare with even the better arm band devices. The Active 2 even plays music with its internal speaker and 4 Gb memory to store your music. And most of all, it is very stylist to wear with all the different watch faces that you can download from the Samsung App store. Good choice
I was going to wait for a faster, slimmer, better watch but I lost my old analog so decided to jump into the smartwatch arena. I didn't want to spend more to get the best and I didn't want the cheap watch that had only a few marginal watch faces and not much functionality. Instead, I got a watch with great functions and a good choice for now. There are some really good watch faces, I can answer calls if my phone is not available, and can read and respond to texts. There is decent tracking of steps so I can see how much I've moved away from my desk as well. Perfection
I'm coming from a Microsoft Band 1/2. When those were discontinued I was devastated and was on the hunt for a replacement. After months of research decided on a Galaxy Watch Active. Right before I went to purchase it I caught wind of the Active 2 being released soon. So ultimately ended up with that. Been absolutely blown away these past two weeks. Battery life is top notch, health tracking and automatic workout detection is superb. Sleep tracking is perfect. And as a watch it's wonderful with the always on display. Pairs instantly with my phone whenever I stray too far and come back into range. And the Galaxy Wearable app is very well built and offers a lot of customization. It lives up to the hype!
I've resisted purchasing a smartwatch since they first came out. I've been attracted to some of the older models Samsung made which had the rotating bezel, but wasn't impressed with the amount of battery time. This one doesn't have the mechanical bezel to change screens, but you can use the tip of your finger to rotate a virtual bezel around the outside of the screen to do the same thing. It doesn't look as classy, nor does it have the added protection of the elevated ring around the screen. This does mean it is slimmer than the older models though. It is comfortable. The 44mm would have been too large for my wrist so I opted for the smaller 40mm version. I'd recommend getting one of the covers, though, since I tend to scratch watches and smartwatches tend to be thicker than normal making them more susceptible to being damaged by walls, tables, etc. The band is soft and comfortable, but where I live, I can imagine it will be rather hot as warmer weather ramps up. The band has quick-change pins and almost any 20 mm band will work in it, so it is not difficult or expensive to change. There are many watch faces available for free and even more if you are willing to spend several dollars each. I like the ability to switch between a sport watch and a more classical look for dressing up. The round screen looks more professional than the square/rectangle shape of other brands. Navigating the screen isn't difficult once you have had some practice on it. I bought my wife the "other" smartwatch that leads in most of the "best smartwatch for 2020" lists, at the same time I bought this one. Great watch at a great price.
I loved mine so much that I got one for my kiddo. It's a great watch that works well and is comfortable because of it's smaller design. It works well with my iPhone 11, I just need to make sure it's paired when I power it off and on. I love the classic circular face shape, it's classic and looks nice with different bands. Great smart watch, and perfect companion for any Samsung Galaxy smartphone!
I have used it for about one month and I love it. Quite responsive and intuitive to use. I really like the fact that you get all sort of notifications and can see emails and messages on the watch without the need to grab your phone. Nice Watch - Good Value
Sleek and stylish. I like that it doesn't have obtrusive buttons. The bezel acts as a scroll wheel when you drag your finger on it. Making and taking phone calls on your wrist is very easy and the call quality is good, most callers can't tell I'm on my watch. The speaker on the phone is adequate, but due to its size I didn't expect greatness. Calls outdoors can be hard to hear if there is any amount of background noise. The watch comes loaded with plenty of apps and features, and I am still discovering more content available every day. I currently use a Samsung S20+, so the setup between devices was super easy. Samsung Active 2
I wanted a smart watch that can respond to texts. I often miss texts on my phone when it's in my pocket. But I get them on my watch and can do an easy response with the voice response or quick premade responses. Comfortable, even though I thought the face would be too big for my small wrist. I got the smaller version. Just wish battery life was longer, but not a problem to charge every other day as I don't wear it at night. I didn't upload the Samsung health app as I don't really need that. And I have a non Samsung Android that still easily setup. I did purchase one before this and the final setup step to cover the watch face did not work so it wouldn't complete. If you get one with that issue I don't believe any of the trouble shooting techniques I found work. I had to return it. All in all I'm very happy with this watch. Better than my Apple watch!
I wasn't sure how I would like it but after a while of using it it far exceeds my expectations. The only thing I missed fro apple was my apple watch. I no longer miss it. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 has so many features and does everything my Apple watch did with a nicer screen and better software. It's fast and looks great as well. I love it!
I love the round look versus all the other brands out there that are square/rectangle. I think it looks more sleek and stylish. I had a Fitbit and hated it. This is a million times better in every way.
