Gateway to LC200N steel.
The Native 5 Salt is one of Spyderco's least expensive LC200N offerings and a great way to get access to this steel's anti-corrosion and toughness properties. Not very "flicable" due to the small blade size but this is also true for Spyderco stalwarts such as the Delica 4. There are no washers, I was expecting some sort of teflon/nylon deal. The yellow FRN is a good choice and the additional strength offered by steel liners shouldn't be required for this application. I can't help but wonder about the rest of the knife's hardware, hopefully Spyderco is using some cost-effective anti-corrosive steel. A more open design would facilitate easier post-use cleaning. Now that I have the Native 5 in LC200N, I'm eyeing up the soon to be released Siren. Also looked at the Caribbean but it didn't "move" me.

Probably one of the best Spydecos I’ve owned
Blade is awesome and yellow color very convenient when using the knife outdoors. Spyderco really nailed it by including a low corrosion blade to their Native knife. Construccion is very good (made in the US) as scales are tight allowing the blade to move without any vertical or horizontal play. This is definitively the knife I will carry to my next trip to Acapulco!

One of the best EDC knives out there in 2020
This is one of the best EDC knives out there in 2020. Super ergonomic, with a solid lock and a rust-proof steel that also maintains a nice edge. It's a gem.

Spyderco salt native
You can’t understand Spyderco til you have owned one there is a big difference on how long your blade keeps its edge or how long it takes to wear the steel out .compared to say.a 50.00 knife kershaw ,buck, case which are all good knives but they are not premium steel and that’s what your paying for but it will last 2 to 3 times longer in my opinion

One of the best for EDC
Love the form factor of the Native 5. Light weight but strong and the perfect size for 99.9% of what I do. The super-stainless LC200N steel is icing on the cake....No worries about rust or stains...great knife!
