Baker lists three criteria for inclusion: tangible remains, public access, and statewide coverage. In each case Baker comments about the town's founding, its former significance, and the reasons for its decline. Historical facts about Texan ghost towns
This is a very interesting set of books. Photographs are plenty in these historical fact based books. They are also maps which can help you if you desire to visit these places. Historically accurate, very well done. The pictures are fantastic. Sometimes a little dry,but at least not fabricated.
