Michael Jackson's "This Is It"
The late Michael Jackson's "This Is It" which was released after his death, captures the preparations and rehearsals for the planned presentation which never occurred. Documenting the personnel, musicians, technicians, choreographers, and singers who shared in the development of the artistry and music of this captivating video, Jackson, himself shines in a glory that is uniquely his own. Viewers will recall the frequently televised clips of the "They Don't Care About Us" rehearsals. On the video, the creativity and computer-generated scenes are shown from the beginning stages to the completed production. Every viewer will be able to find their own particular niche in the lyrics of this penetratingly haunting, militarily-styled, rock-lament for the insensitivities of mankind. Well choreographed marching dance steps show an earnest defiance, coupled with a subtle hope for redemption and salvation. Michael Jackson's genius on vivid display.
One of the best performance DVDs I've seen, and I've seen a lot. This tour was scheduled but cancelled due to MJ's death. This is all rehearsal plus a look back.
