Excellent when applied to appropriate context.
Works well - excellent for drying and preparing items before painting, soldering, gluing etc where a corded version would be overly cumbersome. As with all battery powered tools it is less powerful than a mains driven version - but fantastic in all contexts that I have used it for. The only minor niggle is that the batteries (I have several) can be reluctant to attach and detach but again this seems to be becoming less of an issue with continued use. If you have appropriate expectation of it - a great bit of kit!

Great item, easy to use and no power lead
Great item for heating small areas but it does drain the battery, I would say about twenty mins in a 4amp battery. This works just as well as a plug in, it’s light and nice to hold. Great for flashing work on the roof as there is no extension lead required. The locking switch is a great feature. I love this and would recommend it

Easy to use
Small and light, easy to use with no extension cable getting in the way. I also have a Dewalt 18v drill so can use the same batteries with this tool.

Handy tool
Very useful when you don't have access to mains power, however the fan does not run very fast so takes quite awile to actually shrink down heatshrink and it burns through 4ah batteries. Recommend using 6amp as a minimum

it will be ok for some jobs
it is not as power full as I expected it does the job but it could do with a bit more force as it is dewalt I am sure the quality will be good I bought it for thawing water pipes on the farm so that I did not need an electric cable I already have a 240v blower and it has more force so does the job quicker

Not worth the money
Battery drains to fast your be much better buying the one on a cord which I did and is 10x more productive. Can’t fault the person who sold it to me. Just giving a honest review of what I experienced with it.

Love it
I love it lasts ages on a 4ah battery. I use it to dry small section of bitumen felt it was cold around 4 degrees. Dryed quickly and mew patch stuck nicley

Absolute rubbish!
It doesn’t get hot enough and the fan is virtually non existent! It ran a fully charged 5ah battery down in about 10 minutes of use! I would not recommend this product and I will be purchasing a corded model to replace this one.
