SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK - WASTE OF MONEY
This product is an absolute waste of space and money - does not even MAINTAIN a battery, let alone CHARGE it. Having recently had the car parked up after surgery, I thought this would be ideal to keep things topped up, especially with it being an AA Approved and branded item, but after a fortnight of the car not being touched and this plugged into the OBD port, the battery voltage was very low and the car needed boost starting. And yes it was working every day, even on the rainy days the blue flashing LED was working to show charge was being produced by the solar panel. You are not told anywhere that having anything plugged into the OBD port prevents the car's canbus system from going to sleep, so when this product is plugged in, you will always have more going OUT of the battery than this "charger" puts IN. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY - buy a conventional battery charger/conditioner instead which will charge up your battery within a very few hours.

Good quality easy to use product
This gets 4 stars as it is a good quality, easy to use product. The only reason that it gets 4 and not 5 stars is that I don't know for certain how much difference it is making to my battery, that's going to take a bit of time to figure that out.

Fantastic Solar Panelled Car Battery Charger
I leave my car standing for weeks and found the modern batteries do not like this . At the recommendation of a RAC breakdown chap I bought one of these. As RAC did not have their own version I went to the AA who has the name of quality and stated it had the right connection. Other offerings I did not trust as unbranded so I paid more for quality and brand name. So far the product is happily working when the sun pops out !

Solid product & easy to install
I have used solar powered charger before but they all had to be either attached directly to the battery, or use the accessory socket (some switch off when you stop the engine). With this one offering the ability to connect direct via the OBD2 socket is a plus point and with the car being parked up for longer times now due to the Lockdown this was for me the way to go. I have only just installed it and can not comment on the long term us yet, but I expect that it will perform well. You will have to remove the plug from the OBD2 socket when you start the car.

Excellent buy
Bought for my 1999 Jaguar S type which are notorious for eating batteries when left standing. Just come out of 4 mths house arrest for Corona virus (71 and type 2 diabetic) so haven't started the car for 4 mths and voila! it started first time! Just make sure you unplug before driving off. This is the second one i have bought, this one for my son-in-law's Jag.

Too early to say if will help prevent any battery issues
The product was easy to fit to battery of van as in foot-well of passenger side and have it laying on dash board. Blue light on solar panel started flashing straight away. I'm presuming it starts trickle feeding battery even on cloudy days. Bought this to use when vehicle not in use all the time or just for short journeys. Too early to say if will help prevent any battery issues.

Solar trickle charger
I purchased this as recommended by others on a forum. Hard to tell if it’s doing it’s job. Winter is when the car struggled to start due to infrequent use. The principle of these is good, hence why I eventually got one. Easy to use as plugs into the OBD port, which is inside the car, then the solar panel just sits on the dash. I didn’t bother with the windscreen suckers, therefore easy to remove before driving anywhere

Quality item
Top quality item as I thought it would be if the AA branded their name to it. It feels quality and the finish is good. The dashboard connection was the main selling point to me rather than using crocodile clips on the battery. The power light is very handy for showing the unit is on and working.

Very useful item
This seemed to keep the car battery in my Honda CRV charged while parked for 12 days. Very reassuring. I would love to have had a light which showed when it was properly plugged in though. The flashing blue light only means it is receiving solar power and will happily flash when not plugged in.

Timesaver
This solar battery charger is brilliant now I would not be without it before I had it I would have charge my battery at least twice per month as the car is only used on short trips. Now as the battery shows signs of discharge I use the solar charger and it does what it should.I give it 5stars. It plugs into diagnostic port under arm rest.
