Light and versatile long reach hedge cutter
A long reach hedge trimmer that’s ideal to trim my 300ft of 8ft hazel/hornbeam hedges. Light and easy to use, it’s a pleasure to work with. The auto switch off takes a little while to get used to, but it saves battery power. I’ve two 3.ah batteries which power it for much longer than I expected. Exchanging the battery and recharging the low one is quick, and the recharged battery is ready long before the one in use needs changing. I’ve caught up with all my long delayed trimming tasks. This is definitely the solution to my hedge cutting needs.

Sorted at last!
Another well conceived and properly engineered addition to Makita 18v range, nicely balanced in every respect to help -- used properly -- take much of the time, effort and danger out of maintaining a high hedge. We use in conjunction with an 18v 520mm BUH523 hedge trimmer (for lower sides) plus a 2 x 18v 350mm DUC355 chainsaw (for thicker branches). Should now be able to keep our long beech hedging trimmed year-in year-out with minimal effort and risk.

Top notch hedge trimmer
A bit more expensive than others on the market but you get what you pay off. Easily coped with our thick Hawthorn hedges and the battery life is superb. FFX are great suppliers too, with quick delivery times.

Superb machine, super light, powerful for trimming, lasts 1.5 hrs on a 5amp batter delighted.
