Set of 4 shoes fit perfectly
I thought I was buying one set of shoes (2) so I was very pleasantly surprised that it was a set of 4 so I could do both sides of the axle. There is lots of friction material (I even had to slacken off the adjuster on my handbrake as well as winding the wheel adjusters all the way out.) They fit perfectly and seem to stop nicely. It appears to be a sintered friction material.
