It's not 4-star production - but I still get 4-star laughs!
When this show was new, it was amazing! Now, decades later, I still laugh out loud at so many of the characters and skits! It's true that Lola Heatherton, Sammy Maudlin, and Bobby Bitman don't quite hold up - but I still think Polynesian Town, Ed Grimley, Edith Prickley all hold up as well today as back then. I only wish I'd been on the set for all the jokes and bits that were not captured as part of the show. Who is funnier than John Candy? :)

Candy at Christmas
Typical SCTV if you have ever watched the program before except in a Christmas Format. Well worth the money. It was great to see John Candy who one of the funniest comedian of our time along with the rest of the SCTV crew.

Think Through Your Nostalgia Before You Buy!
I remember watching SCTV as a kid late at night and thinking it was funny. However, what one considers funny at 14 or 15 is NOT the same at 47. In a moment of nostalgia, I felt that I had to own this. I was wrong. Seriously, the skits are stupid and mind-numbing. It was interesting though to see comedy greats like John Candy, Eugene Levy, and Catherine O’Hara when they were just starting out.

An absolute hoot to have these rarely seen episodes from the gang at SCTV. Definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit, with a hell of a lot of laughs!!

Blast from the past!
What a great collection of the funniest skits from SCTV. We laughed and laughed at these funny scenes. A must have for every Christmas collection!

Christmas with SCTV is about as good as it gets
You can’t get better than John Candy Moreno Hara, Martin, short Joe Flaherty, Andrea, Martin, Dave, Thomas or any of those guys. They’re just hilarious and this is a pretty funny Christmas show. My favorite part is when johnny LeRoux is doing “street beef“ or he drunk, and starts whining about how he never got a crane shot and Santa comes and gives him one for Christmas. Funny stuff all the way around.

You'll love this if you're an SCTV fan.
Very fun DVD of this outstanding TV series. Brings back memories of these outstanding performers. I enjoy watching this over and over, and the grandchildren love it. Lots of fun.
