Effective AIO--low temps! Excellent tubing & length! But, annoying light that can't be disabled
This is my first foray into water cooling, and I am very impressed. Both idle and peak temperatures are appreciably lower. I used to thermal throttle when encoding video for archiving; now, I hit a toasty-but-safe 80C and stay there.
The tubing is also an excellent length for my tiny case, reaching the case mount point while having just enough length to route elegantly.
I did have annoying pump noise initially, but simply configuring the fan header to "always on" in the BIOS fixed it, as per recommendations found online.
The main con is the white light on the CPU block that can't be turned off or dimmed at all. I have a mesh case. and it's visible all the time. It's not the brightest behind the mesh, so it's tolerable, but if I had a tempered glass case or somesuch, I'd definitely be looking into tape or something to cover it.
Still, it's a small and solvable issue.
Overall, I'm very happy with it, especially for the price and warranty. I'm definitely not going back to air cooling if I can help it, and I would happily recommend the H60 to anyone looking to dip their toes in!
