Excellent Improvement Over Previously Purchased Model
I gave my previous one (i.e. 2 years old) to my daughter for making soups. The PRIMARY reason for buying this one was for the sous vide feature, which allows me to clean my N95 face masks. However, there are some improvements in this model (e.g. in addition to the 'sous vide' feature) and, so far, they are notable: o The unit is faster in its heat cycle; o The process takes less time than its predecessor to cook; o It retains pressure longer, so one needs to 'vent' the unit earlier in the cycle to prevent over cooking; o It is 'quieter' in the heating cycle than its predecessor (i.e. no steam escaping, while building pressure to shut off the vent valve. This thing represents a definite improvement over the previous model. Thank you for the opportunity to educate those who may wish to purchase this fine unit!

Love electric pressure cookers!
I bought this to replace my original electric pressure cooker (different brand) that the movers didn't pack well and the base broke. I love it! The only drawback is that the steam release is all or nothing. On my other PC, I could let it out a little at a time. Not a big deal I guess, I'll get used to it. On the plus side, this one has a sous vide option - very cool!! Have used the pressure cooker option and it works great. Used the sous vide on bacon - that isn't the best test, tho it seems to work fine.

Instant Pot Duo 6 Qt fast and efficient
Instant pot duo is so convenient and easy to use. I had to watch videos on YouTube to figure out how to use it correctly. The pot is large so you will need space to store it. Also it is a little too large for one person unless they are cooking large amounts of food. The pot is versatile so there is so many type of dishes that can be prepared in it.

The Instant Pot is a Great Kitchen Appliance!
I've used my Instant Pot several times (and I've only had it a week) and it is very convenient and a great way to be able to pressure cook without being within earshot of my older jiggle-type manual pressure cooker. The manual that comes with the Instant Pot is almost useless, so it helps to go online to get information from other sources, or buy a specialized cookbook or two. I love the stainless steel inner pot, it is easy to clean and I know that it will last for years and I don't have to worry about any finishes flaking off. It is a rather large appliance, so that needs to be considered for those with a small kitchen, but it can replace more than one other appliance. I would definitely recommend this appliance!

The best cooking appliance I've ever used.
I use this fabulous machine almost every other day. There is no end to the possibilities. Last week I made my own yogurt for the first time! Fabulous, and easy instruction. Yesterday an incredible leg of lamb, braised and roasted. Between this and my Air-Fryer/Baker I don't use my overn. Saves time, less trouble, and more nutritious.

Cooks Life safer
I have had pressures cookers in the past and it has been the most easies to use and does the job well above my expectations. I have bought two more and gave them as gifts. and they love it'? I tell everyone about insta pot Duo and tell them how wonderful it is for me. And to get one you wont regret it.

Better than a crockpot.
I wasn't too sure how much this would differ from a crockpot but it is lighter, easier to clean and does so much more. You can brown your meats and veggies in the pot and then add your liquids. One pot meals. Super easy to use. Love this Duo instapot.

Best Deal
The best deal around. Just saw same item locally at Sam's Club for $40 more. Both Instant Pots purchased work perfectly and came with all accessories. Easy to use and easy to clean. High quality construction.

Awesome
This surpassed my expectations. The box came through the mail quite mangled, and not just the product box, but the shipping box,so it had me a little worried about its condition. But despite looking like it came through a war zone, it was pristine and works great! This was a gift for a friend going through chemo, and it's so cool, I bought myself and my mother one. Lol. Great product!
