Very quiet indeed compared to V2 Skim 200 Compact
Bought this to replace the V2 Skim 200 for inside my display 100L AR620 tank. Was amazed at its working noice. It’s so quiet compared to TMC’s V2. Comes complete with a good quality cleaning brush which is very impressive first impression. The set of Instructions are good too. V2 was a bit longer and smaller. This is slimmer in thickness but wider and shorter. Had to use the extending part as it was interfering with the AR 620 lid. Removing the original bracket to fit the extender was a bit of a fiddle. The fitted one was not easy to remove. Managed it eventually and got it fitted in working. The locking mechanism could be a bit better. I feel it might detach from it on long run. However the noise has really surprised me. Can’t even hear it compared to the old one. Let’s wait and see how Tunze 9001 performs as the V2 lasted just short of 2 years and packed up. Overall even though it is a bit pricy, it is a good piece of kit.

Tunze 9001 skimmer
Good for a small tank. Very quiet in operation maybe even silent. Simple to set up an use. Ideal for a nano tank. The glass of my tank is 8mm thick an the magnet to hold it in place ,could do with being a little bit stronger as it does move when I empty an replace the skim cup. I may just make a small ledge from polystyrene an putty (for live rock) just to perch the edge on so i can easily keep it at the right depth when I empty the cup or remove it for cleaning.

Red Sea replacement
Bought this to replace the skimmer in my Red Sea Max . The unit is compact and fits in the rear compartment of the tank , it's a fraction of the size of the Red sea unit and runs much cooler and quieter. It's been in use for a few weeks now and seems to be more than adequate for purpose

Best nano skimmer
Hands down the best nano skimmer I have used. Starts off a bit louder then my old one, but has settled down to a gentle hum we don't even notice anymore. Pulls loads of gunk out the tank all the time. I just leave it on full so I haven't messed with the air choke.

The best Skimmer for Nano Aquariums
This skimmer is really good quality. I have tried others but this one is far more superior not very noisy works well in tight spots and doesn’t produce any micro bubbles isn’t noisy and skims well. What more can you ask for?

Very impressed
I'm very impressed with this skimmer! My previous skimmer was so big and noisy and took up all the room in my sump. After a lot of research I chose this Tunze 9001 and I'm so please I ordered it. When it came I was impressed on size, and it fit beautiful in my sump, it is so quiet and working beautifully, I wouldn't hesitate on recommended this product, I'm extremely impressed. (I have a aqua one mini reef 90)
