Breath life into old firewire devices!
I was helping my brother get his old backup hard drive working with his new Mac Mini which lacks Firewire ports. This little adapter, along with the use of a Firewire 800 to Firewire 400 cable allowed him to use his older Firewire 400 Time Machine.
