There are many books available today about typewriters. This one is a hands on account by a collector for dreamers. The book is larger then I imagined, a perfect size if you will. The white background pops off the table it lays on. Inside a smart foreword by Tom Hanks. The book is filled with large clear images. But the best part is the author’s perspective, he describes first hand how the machines operate. The subtle nuances of each of the wonderful machines inside. A feat only accomplished by owning every machine in the book. Smartly written so a layman can understand. One could only hope to have this information available for every typewriter ever made at your fingertips but what a task that would be. In the end you will be wanting more.... Smart, Sexy and intriguing.
