NotesFreedom of Choice is the third album by new wave musicians Devo, released in 1980 on LP. The album was co-produced by Robert Margouleff, famous for his synthesizer work in Tonto's Expanding Head Band and with Stevie Wonder. It contains Devo's most well-known song, "Whip It."

You can whip it but you can't beat it.
This album generated the hit song whip it which was played quite frequently on MTV. This album was one of the better if not the best album they put out during the 1980s. if you had to choose any of the individual albums that weren't the greatest hits of Devo this would be the one to choose. if you want to hear DeVos concept album and not their greatest hits compilation then I recommend that you choose this album first or at least included in the selections that you do choose.

Good Choice
DEVO is classic new wave - first song was covered by Soundgarden, Girl U Want - this CD also contains hit Whip it, and two others that made it on their 'hits' CD. Some deep tracks too!

Reminds me of my younger years.
