This book gives you tons of (fictional) insight into the world of Cameron/Eglee's Dark Angel. It not only gives you the 411 on what's happening just after the series finale, it also covers some of the side stories that you knew were going on "off screen" but were sure how they ended up (like the pope problem from early 1st season). The most interesting thing about this book is the format - it's done up as a scrap book collection of printouts, newspaper clippings, and transcripts. It's very immersive, and unfocused. It really does read like a found bundle of evidence that you are reading through as best you can. It's not a story, it's the inside scoop on what's really happening... and assumes that you (the real world you) can suss out the implied cover up that you (the Dark Angel you of 2021) thought was the truth up 'til now. If you think of this book as a story, you will be disappointed. It's more of a narrative puzzle... most of a story, rather than just a story. That can make it far more satisfying when you see something come together just before it's revealed... or more often, not revealed. Did you outfox the conspirators? Or get outfoxed and led down a blind ally to the wrong conclusion? Who knows. If you play table top RPGs and want to set one in the Dark Angel universe, this book is a must have.
