Works, but for channels I like using other devices better. OK for whole screen mirroring.
The refurbished item arrived with the original owner's network info still present. It was NOT reset to factory default like it should have been. After looking up how to reset it quite a few updates were installed. Everything you watch needs to have an app installed on your phone/tablet, so you better have room for it (Netflix, Pluto, . . . ). Good for 4k, but make sure you have a place to plug it in
It does what I want it to - streams video in resolution up to 4k. If you have an older screen you probably don't need this, but if you have anything more modern that supports it, it's cool. The major downside is you have to get it with the original power adapter that is a wall-wart style thing with a built-in ethernet port. (This is case your wireless connection isn't good enough to stream 4k video.) I wish you could optionally use a different adapter to plug it into a dedicated 5 volt USB slot like my new tv has, but using any other power supply will result in an annoying message on the bottom of the screen and only support up to 1080p video. Don't buy this used without the original adapter, it's useless. Love it
Turned my Sharp tv into a chrome cast with clearer picture and now my Google Hub can connect with it and I can voice control my tv now like the rest of my house! I wish I could have paid a little less, but hesitation made me miss out on another deal, but it was still worth the price. When you’re snuggling your baby and can’t find the tv remote it sure is great to be able to simply say hey google tv off lol. Just like new!
Arrived four days after ordered which includes Sunday, thus three mailing days after placing order. Aside from sticky residue on box, I’d have thought was receiving a brand new device from Google. This is my first Ultra after already having two Chromecasts. I also have a few Firesticks. Due to having a third entertainment area in my Florida room, I decided to get another. Since noticing my surround sound being a bit enhanced on the 4K Firestick, thought I’d venture to the Ultra. I have up to 300 MBs along with a mesh network. Set-up was flawless, easy, & quick. Good product; wish I could sideload apps onto it.

Significantly faster than the regular old and new Chromecasts, well worth the upgrade! 4K looks amazing!

2 ultra Chromecast
I bought 2 ultra Chromecast and they are great. The one on my 65" tv has been fantastic no problems. The other one on a brand new 4k Toshiba Fire tv has had to been reset 4 times. Once on its great. Glad I purchased the Chrome Cast ULTRA, big differents, it has a internet connection on the power supply for faster streaming.
