Excellent "game" to help you learn on a REAL guitar!
This is a great product to learn how to play some of your favorite songs on a real guitar or bass - not some button pushing plastic mock-up. Ubisoft includes a variety of old classics, modern hits and everything in between. There's also an "arcade" section to work on things like chords, string picking, slides, and more. Tons of songs to download from your favorite artists and add to your library (additional cost). It's CRITICAL that you include the "Real Tone" cable to be truly effective. Give it 60 days, and you'll be jamming to your favorite riffs in no time!

GREAT WAY TO GET STARTED!
Rocksmith is a great way to get started playing guitar. If you are just starting and not sure you want to get involved with taking lessons I would recommend Rocksmith as a way to have some fun and find out if play guitar is for you. It will teach you the basics, like tuning and how to hold and strum the guitar, as well as start you playing popular rock songs in a fun game format. You control the speed and difficulty so it is easy enough even for those who have never tried to play before!

Buy rocksmith, learn guitar, have fun. Seriously... Just buy it already! You'll be happy you did.
Excelent buy! The gameplay is addictive, and keeps you coming back to learn more. A must have for beginners, and experienced players alike. Ive tried to learn guitar for years, but could never stick with it. Since I got rocksmith I can't wait to play every day. I would HIGHLY! Recomend it to anyone who wants to learn guitar, or just keep themselves sharp and advancing. One of the best ps4 investments I've made!!

Cool Game, Great Song List
The game has a lot of great songs and an easy to use interface. It even works with acoustic guitars with a microphone. I was able to plug an xbox 360 rock band mic into my ps4 and it recognizes the notes fairly well.

Glad I found a copy with the cable for a reasonable price
It was really hard to find a new copy of this game since I played it about 5 years ago on my xbox 360...and I wanted it on ps4 but it is discontinued...too bad...it is a great way to learn and have fun with your guitar and bass...

Rocksmith Great for Learning the Guitar
I had a problem with the audio static crackling sound. I have to completely shut down PS4 and reboot for most of the crackling sound to disappear although some crackling sound does remain but it is playable. Many people have this sound problem on PS4 and not on PS3 or PC. I however like the game and it does help me to learn how to play the guitar. I would definitely purchase this game again.

incredible tool for learning
instead of trying to copy guitarhero type of game , i wish they would show the fingering so i can emulate that- not trying to catch color coded boxes on the strings. still still super valuable with song information, notes, bass sounds etc.. you must have this in your collection if you ever wanted to learn any of these songs...and there are alot of all kinds

Great game for learning the guitar.
Awesome learning tool in this game. They have included almost everything you need; to succeed in your journey of learning the guitar. For someone like me that does't have the time or money for private lessons, this is the next best thing. My only complaint is there is no tutorial on finger placement.

Great Product
Great game so far. Cant believe the effort put in to this, it's very receptive. Definitely has good balancing systems that adjust to where you're at on the learning curve.

Great Fun and Games
Regardless of your level this product is a ton of fun. It seems to have a few gaps in training you from scratch, but if you follow what the game suggests for training, and work on learning chord shapes and such on the side, you u just might become a guitarist.
