Perfect e-reader.
I own the very first Kindle with the keyboard and I was going to buy a Paperwhite but found the Oasis at a really good price. It is virtually perfect for me as a reading machine. I like the buttons which supplement the touch screen; the weight and size are fine and the whole experience is terrific. I haven't had it long enough to assess battery life but if this is extended by the cover I will be more than happy

Excellent
Excellent. (except that the battery timing could've been improved). The battery isn't that bad but this particular model relied partially on externally charging cover, which isn't easily available. Still, I never had to stop reading to charge it. Just saying it so you don't expect weeks of battery as advertised. The rest is exceptional.

Instant access to countless titles and the magical facility to be able to read under any and every light condidtion is something that is only fully appreciated after first experiencing the benefit.
