SynopsisThis beautifully illustrated guide will enable readers to master and appreciate the art of sushi. The quintessential book for any sushi lover, Sushi: Taste and Technique shows you all you need to know about this exceptionally delicious and healthy cuisine, how to locate the freshest ingredients, how to use the right equipment, and how to master the etiquette of eating sushi correctly. From makizushi to hand rolls to vegetarian versions, this book teaches you how to create any kind of sushi.
This is an excellent introduction for someone like me who had never made Sushi, Sashimi, Maki, et al. I particularly appreciated the section on the many types of fish and seafood and how to prepare them. There are large photographs and descriptions of the various sea creatures popular in Sushi with specific instructions on how to fillet them and prepare them for your sushi feast. Go from theory and desire to practical application with this handy book as a guide. It's also a great coffee table book... I often find guests checking it out with great interest.
Even though this is a relatively old edition, it's incredible! The pictures provided are highly detailed. The book also provides excellent descriptions and instructions to guide help guide you. It's a great book to add to your culinary collection. I definitely recommend this book!! :)
Great quality! Very descriptive book on things, most sushi books would not cover! From rare, advanced to basic. Very intricate details with pictures! High quality hardly any signs of wear! I am so happy I got this sushi recipe book!
