Saved me a very expensive call to a plumber
I am happy to say this product saved me a very expensive plumber call. In my case, with some care, some WD40, and careful leverage. I had an outdoor faucet I couldn't easily cover in very cold weather because of this oddball extension placed on it by the previous homeowner. It was stuck on, difficult to remove, and took so much leverage to take off I was worried about internal damage. Finally, it came off (thank you WD40) It seems like the thread was either bizarrely of a different size/type, or it had been cross-threaded when they put this stupid thing on. All I know is the thread cleaner fixed it perfectly, and I didn't have to call a plumber. WIN!

Slick and easy to use. Better than replacing the faucet.
My outdoor faucet was crusted with hard water deposits. I tried Lime Away but no luck. This had it looking and working like new in minutes. Thank you so much. It saved me a lot of time and money instead of replacing the faucet.

Superior Tool 05265 Mr. Thread Cleaner
Use this especially when camping; as most of the campsite hose bibs are encrusted with calcium deposits, which can make it hard to put the hose on it, or will ruin a plastic hose connector. Easy to use with a 3/8" ratchet or a pair of channel lock pliers. I have good luck leaving the water run a little, so as to help clean the debris away while chasing the threads. Don't leave home without it!!

Makes the hose bib like new!
The product write up is spot on! It works perfectly. At least one handyman on each block in the USA needs one! Maybe you could engrave please return to.................. who ever on them, well maybe that won't work as well as the tool, I will shut up now.

Works great
I can’t believe it worked so well fixing my leaky outdoor faucet. I thought the threads were bad because it hose leaked so bad. I used the tool to clean the threads, and now it works like new !

Worth the money
Great product. Used on two stripped hose bibs. Saved one completely. The other was too far gone to seal well, but this thread cleaner did improve it substantially so that I can use it till I get a new one on. I recommend spraying some wd40 or other oil into the piece before using for lubrication.

Love using the right tool for the job!
Rarely have I enjoyed a $16 item as much! This garden faucet thread cleaner saved me a ton of time and money. It requires much more force than I’d expected, but then again it’s literally cutting new threads by brute force. I ended up looking all over for other faucets, hoses to use it on-I even contemplated using on my neighbor’s hose faucet, by my rational wife intervened.

I would recommend this tool
works liked its supposed to, saved me a lot of money. If it didn't work I would have had to rip down a wall and replace pex tubing and valves

Great Little Tool
I just bought a house that has lots of outside faucets that rarely got used due to having an underground sprinkler system. The water here is very hard and causes hard calcium deposits to build up on the faucet threads, so that a hose cannot be attached. This little tool made short work of removing the deposits. It is important to use some kind of lubricant and to go slowly, backing the tool off, cleaning out debris and then proceeding again. Important to use a good backup on the faucet, especially if it is a soldered joint.

handy tool
Made quick job of cleaning damaged threads on hose end that has been dragged across concrete drive many times. Will come in handy down the road
