Easy to use -- for the non-technical among us!
This is really easy to use. Even though I was not able to perform a formal calibration, the instructions noted that the new product arrives already calibrated. I wanted to measure noise level of certain appliances in the house and this really did the job for me. Excellent SPL unit for understanding noise levels.
After my purchase, I realized how useful this is to set audio adjustments for our church music. It has since been used for machinery, tools, and yard equipment while I determine the quality of hearing protection needed for the day's activity. Good value for rough measurements

Protect your hearing from rock concert church services.

Nice meter!!!!!
This Digital Sound Pressure Decibel Noise Meter works great. I have had it for along time and it continues to perform well. I don't use it every day, however, I do consider it to be a valuable part of my testing equipment. It may not be as accurate as a high dollar meter, but it works great for my use. The only negative thing I could mention is how easy the meter is to turn on. Placing the meter in a pocket can turn the meter on and run down the batteries. That has happened to me.
