Cheap and easy fix for faulty PS3 Slim
A very easy and cheap fix for my old PS3 slim that started to play up. It sometimes didn't read the discs or crashed during a game. Eventually it would take 5 or more attempts for a disc to be accepted. I fitted this laser assembly in less than 30 minutes and now the PS3 is flawless. There's plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to fit this laser assembly....

ps3 slim Bluray laser
I bought this for my wife's PS3 has it stopped reading the game Disc , after watching the videos on youtube I took to the task of fitting the laser , firstly you will need a T8 torks key this makes it a lot easier to open the PS3 , I found it easy to dismantle the bluray holder and then fit the new mechanism in its place, You have to reuse the rubber grommets and the fat ribbon contact , if you take your time and keep everything in a container you will be rewarded with a fully working PS3 again .

PS3 Slim Disc Drive Fix
PS3 stopped reading Blu-Rays/Games, DVDs worked fine, this part need to be replaced, with YouTube tutorials to help in opening up the ps3, getting to the disc drive part and a little patience, most people could do this simple fix and get the ps3 working again. Very satisfied so far with the replacement part and the ps3 is fully working again. Recommended as its not as hard as you think to swap out the part.

Alot cheaper than buying a working PS3
the laser was sealed in bubblewrap giving confidence it was never used. replaced the old laser to this one, and it just worked. just make sure you connect all the ribbon cables. alot cheaper than buying a working ps3.

Would reccomend if your ps3 slim has trouble loading/reading blueray discs its very easy to install with helpfull guides on youtube a must buy for a faulty ps3 blueray lens
