  • Great idea but pricey

The product works and looks great. It is made of quality material and certainly appears durable. There are options to extend its usefulness, too such as the ‘clutch’ handgrip that has helped me greatly with my Leica SL with a large lens. No signs of weakness or failure to secure a weighty camera. One drawback is the lack of a longer screw to secure the baseplate to a camera with leather case. I did find a longer screw on eBay for a mere £2.99 which fits perfectly but it would be good if one was available via the manufacturer - longer bolts for the clip are available for example. One disappointment is that there is no workable solution for the bino kit to fit binoculars which don;t have a screw thread. I would have loved to be able to purchase the bino kit for my Leica Duovid binos but they don’t feature any screw holes at all. Perhaps Peak Design will come up with a solution in future. All in all a great product and I have no worries about it failing even for heavier gear.

  • Sturdy and lightweight

I now have 2 of these and would recommend them to anyone, Why 2, different bags for different uses! I would advise you to attach the whole bracket to the camera then to line it up on the strap/belt just to make sure you get the camera lense pointing down or which ever way you want it to point.

  • Love it!

Best thing ever for me. It’s so handy to have both hands free. It’s holds my big, heavy lens easily and the quick release works a treat.

  • Good concept, but check your backpack strap design

I liked the idea of this clip, but it needs to work well inconjunction with the strap it's attached to. My backpacks have details like reinforecement wires on the straps which meant that the surface wasn't flat, so the clip was never particularly stable. For walking on the flat this is ok, but any kind of steep ascent or descent leads to the camera moving around, which while never at risk of being dislodged, was distracting. I've found the Peak Design straps to be good, but not yet found a solution which integrates well with a backpack.
