Separatists have attacked the ice caves of Ilum in hopes of weakening the Jedi Order and their defense of the Republic. These ice caves house the precious crystals used by Jedi to power their lightsabers, and among them is the force-rich Crystal Cave, a Jedi temple where the past and future of the Jedi order can be seen.
A rare gem this 1/6 scale Padme figure, there's not a heck of a lot out there and she's becoming hard to find.
Figure is sturdy and the joints aren't floppy or loose and they hold poses quite well, the articulation is good and the figure is able to stand without the need for it's base.
Her outfit is clean and well tailored and fits her body perfectly, she comes with a couple of accessories, an electro-binoculars and a grenade, her holster and belt is neatly detailed and her silver blaster looks awesome.
The figures overall proportions are very good and not over endowed as to looking ridiculously deformed (big boobed).
Now for the bad...
I personally think the holster for her blaster is too big, her blaster flops around in it, her fur-trimmed cape could've been wired for ease of posing, it fans out too widely and is a nuisance when trying to drape it naturally.
The gloved hands are great but when plugged in they make her arms look a bit chimpanzee-ish so I trimmed and modified the arms shorter.
Now for the headsculpt...
This is where Sideshows lacked in it's quality, honestly they make great figures but she looks way better with a third party custom headsculpt (which I did).
The paint app on her head is average and her face isn't very detailed, maybe if Sideshows spent more care and time on their headsculpts they'd be close to Hot Toys quality.
I went into this purchase prepared that I was going to modify the figure as these bad points stuck out too me and I'm glad I did, for this would be a perfect Padme if done right.
