Like all Lee Precision - simple, quality, easy to use product, for less than the competition
Well designed. Will fit all presses. You may or may not need the accessory dies, depends on what you have already. Has a positive stop when dumping which allows you to adjust your charging die easily. Take a few minutes to see how it works, this makes installation easy. The YouTube video series posted can answer many, if not all of your questions, so look there. There a six or so posted by the same re-loader. He did an excellent job. For me, I plan to use this primarily for rifle reloading. The single and double disk measure for pistol, and the perfect measure for when I am hand loading for match or working up a load, and weigh each powder throw. My testing shows, just like the youtube review, that over ten round lots, this measure is very, very consistent. And when you think you can own all three of the Lee powder measures for less money than just one of the other brands, BONUS. The ability to buy multiple small or large inserts, and write on them, is another real bonus. Well, guess I like this measure. Use Titan Reloading, they were prompt and are a Lee Master Distributor.

Lee new press mounted powder measure
This New Lee powder measure is good. But I had to work out some bugs with mine. The instructions don't completely tell how the measure will work properly. It takes a little time to set the measure with the little Key to adjust the load. Then when setting the proper height for the shell also takes time. The instructions give a basic setting , but it takes a little more to figure it out. Also with some powders it has a problem with the powder bridging in the funnel coming out of the measure, which causes the powder to hang up and not drop into the case. When the case is removed from the shell holder, the powder then drops out causing the powder to run all over. What a mess! But after doing some adjusting on my own it works pretty well. As far as accuracy goes, charge to charge, it is within .1 to.2 tenths of a grain. The powder drum Key works very well and is very sensitive to minor adjustments, which I think, is very nice when working up loads. One more thing. The instructions briefly talks about the powder measure dies that are needed to make things work. Without them, the measure will not work on any type press. So,do your home work before buying it. But overall ,Once I got it set it does work pretty well. So, do I recommend it , Yes . Try one and see for yourself.

Lee's next evolution in powder dispensers
I've been a long time user of Lee Auto Disk powder dispensers. With this new Auto Drum unit I think Lee has hit another home run. The ease and accuracy of the dispenser is as good or even better than Lee's previous product. After setting this up on my Dillon press I loaded 200 38 Special rounds stopping periodically to verify the charge weights. To my delight the few variances observed were tiny. Within 1/10th of a grain. Combine that with simple setup, simple operation and simple change and adjustment of the powder throw this is a breeze to use. If you like the Auto Disk you will likely LOVE the Auto Drum.

Caution: too tight adjustment on the powder drum is dangerous
Overall an excellent product. I have 5 Auto Drum Powder measures on various Lee Loadmaster tool heads. I discovered that just the minimal amount of over tightening of the powder drum stops the drum from filling and dumping consistently. This is dangerous. Some .300 AAC Blackout loads with a couple of extra grains of RX7 powder really lit up the range. Mis-adjustment using H110 yielded almost a double charge which was caught in time. I adjusted the measure to drop a charge but failed to notice the drum did not fully return to the top and occasionally did not completely bottom. When the drum DOES make a full motion you get a hot charge. My fix is to mark the top and bottom of the drum movement with a Sharpie on the measure body and WATCH each load being dropped. I confirm by examining every case has not been over or under charged.

best value for your dollar
I use about 90 percent Lee reloading products and have had good luck with most of them. I like to load very light pistol loads due to broken wrist suffered in the past. I used 3 of Lee's disc. powder measures in the past but had trouble with light powder loads bridging in the measures although they worked very well for normal loads. This measure is very accurate for pistol loads and so far I have not had any bridging of powder. Pros: reasonable pricing, well made, powder cut-off,light weight,and easy to mount on any reloader with standard 7/8x14 threads. Cons: it is a little noisy LOL

Great Return on Investment
I had my doubts but after using this a while I'm really impressed and pleased with Lee's Auto Drum Powder Measure. Setup is easy and simple. With the powders I've used the accuracy and consistency have been excellent. Installed on my Redding T-7 turret press it is a time saver when loading lots or rounds. Typically of Lee, everything you need and nothing you don't.

Trouble right out of the box.
I bought it because of all the good reviews. Unfortunately it is not accurate at all and borders on dangerous over or under charges. And mine does it with all powder types. Sometimes 2.0 grs of deviation! I've read forums to Rig it here or there or try this and that but nothing is working, whether it be set up like stated in instructions or with the little fixes... Inconsistent charges and clacking or clicking loudly while it is in use leads me to believe it is defective and cannot be fixed.. I'd have to pay to get it replaced by Lee so I would be out more money. I'm generally happy with Lee's stuff but this was a waste of money. At least the old school disc thrower worked. I'll have to get another one of those since I need a powder measure for the turret press.

simple and accurate
Been using it quite a bit since I purchased it. Set up was a snap. It took longer to unpack than to set up. Had been using the pro disk for years. My only complaint with the auto disk was the inability to dial in an exact measurement like I could with my lee and rcbs drum powder measures This allowed me to get that accuracy and have it set up on my turret. Has worked great for me so far.

GREAT value - accurate, lightweight, smooth.
Lee knows what they're doing with this invention. The design is superior and works as it should. I use mine on a Lee 4-hole Turret Press and I no longer dream of getting a progressive. Now I dream of getting MORE BRASS!!!

Well, it does work.
This powder measure can do the job for you. But, it has some sticky points. I bought this powder measure specifically for loading .30 Carbine casings using the very fine grain LilGun powder on the Lee 4-die turret press. When it arrived I found it would not consistently throw a charge of 14.5 grains of LilGun powder. The charge would vary as much as 0.3 grains. The .30 Cal M1 Carbine is VERY picky concerning its ammo. That is too much variation to be acceptable for that round. Researching the problem on YouTube gave me several "fixes" to repair the measure's inconsistency. One was to smooth the rough finish of the outside of the powder drum. I did this by sanding with 200 then 400 grit sandpaper until I had a smooth finish. This allowed the drum to rotate much more smoothly in its mounting. The second fix involved removing the "slop" in the operating rod that rotates the drum as the casing is forced up into the powder measure. I did this by holding the rod in its up most position, drilling a small hole through the lifting mechanism and the rod, then pinning them together with a small pin. These two modifications improved the consistency of the throw so that now most of the powder throws are almost exactly 14.5 grains with the largest variation I have had so far has been only 0.1 grain. This is acceptable precision for me. Since it is now working properly, I am mostly happy with it. I don't like having to completely remove the powder bottle to refill it. The bottle has a key on it so that it only mounts one way into the body. It is a very tight fit. It is possible in trying to get it on and off the machine to have the rotating piece that controls the bottles powder valve to jump off the screw head that holds it in place. When this happens the bottle will not stop rotating at either the "open" or "closed" position and it is possible to pull the bottle off the body with the opening not quite closed. Powder everywhere!
