Absolutely great!
The rubber handle allow a perfect grip. The weight of the razor - quite consistent for a shavette - instead of being annoying is a bonus for a great shave. I'm better at ease with this kind of razor compared with the traditional western kind, I find a more natural grip Very good the "pinch" system for keep the blade on site. Easy disassembleassemble for cleaning. Very important the right choice of blades, Feather in my case.

Like A Small Katana
I´m impressed for real. Just had my first shave with this Feather SS Japanese Straight Razor. This is what I wrote to my dealer in Japan: "I can´t believe it. Only 9 days from Japan to Germany! Thought I would have to wait much longer. You really made my weekend! Just had my first shave with this modern japanese kamisori. Great razor, great shave! Looking forward to my next shave tomorrow. I always loved the sharp japanese blades, load my safety razors with awesome feather-blades, most of my knifes in the kitchen and in my pocket came from Japan or have at least blades out of wonderful japanese steel. I really don´t know, why I had to get so old before I tried my first modern japanese kamisori. And once again I am filled with great respect. Great respect for this piece of marvellous steel, this fabulous sharpness and this outstanding quality. Great respect for the people that made it for me. Greetings from Germany and best regards Ralf Busch" Some more words now an here: I do love these kamisori-razors much more than that folding razors. This handle gives me more control. This handle is better to handle. If you want to try a straight razor for the first time, forget all that horrible stories, honing on expensive stones, all that working on the leathers. Try this Feather with changeable blades. You can buy other straight razors later (and stones and leathers). I am experienced in sharpening blades, because I love that blades, that are sharp for real. But if you are used to DE safety razors, you might not. This feather is the solution. Straight razor with changing blades. Does really work as good as some of my stone-leather-raizors. And I don`t have a straight razor, that is as smooth as this one, while doing it`s job really satisfying. This Feather is so smooth. It is smoother than all my other straigt razors. I´ve been surprized (used the Proguard Feather Blades at first). Feels like a sort of "safety razor". No cut, only a few nicks, no irritations for my sensitive skin. It just glides while you think, yo might forgot to load a blade. Good result for this first shave with it. Don´t be frightened. If you have respect for the real steel, and I guess you have, looking for this razor, it will not be a bloody game. I highly recommend this straight razor. Best quality. Feather from Japan. Easy to open, easy to clean, easy to close. Absolute easy to change a blade. Worth every cent. Not only another backup! Much more. You will need some time for it. Not only time to get used to it. Time for your shave. A safety razor ist always faster. But if you do not like plastic razors with lots of bad blades in a row, you will certainly take your time. I do. I do not like to shave looking at my watch. I like to celebrate my shave. But if it has to be done fast, I would never use one of my straight razors. Better to get my friendliest DE. But weekend will come! This feather is not an ancient, expensive kamisori. It´s a modern one with changing blades, really affordable. Nevertheless: I left the bathroom after a great shave with my new feather, not bleeding, feeling like a small samurai. O.K., a very small samurai. And I swear, I do not write this in order to be disrespectful. I am truely filled with respect for the samurai and the best blades from Japan. Give it a chance! Ralf Busch

Feather Artist Club SS Kamisori
For me personally this razor has only advantages: Rubber handle allows perfect grip. Even with wet hands it doesn't slip away. The weight of the razor is nice and very well balanced. Ease of use compared to the traditional western style grip. Easy to clean and near to zero effort for maintenance. Superior build quality.

Great shave and very comfortable to use.
The day I git this razor I wanted to try it out. I have never used a straight razor for a full shave around my Tony Stark like goatee, just for fine tuning the edges. I began shaving thinking I would shurely draw blood at some point but I was fine with it and determined to put it to the test to the end. The shave I got was the best one yet, although I was using a classic Feather shaver before and was pleased with it. I can do almost anything with this razor, minus what a scissor does, and to get that close of a shave on the first go is amazing, I mean I can only go up from here. The shape is so intuitive that you never feel like you are holding it wrong or it's gonna slip and the metal head is rounded and smooth that you easily find the best angle for the blade to get the best results even if you are a beginner like me. Inserting the blades is very straightforward and if you get the blade to sit at an angle you just need to press the bottom of the head and the blade will fall perfectly into place. It's really well designed with good materials witch makes it reallu intuitive to use.

Once you get used to handling this quality crafted razor, you will then experience the closest shave ever! Tip: go slow, press lightly, stretch your skin, take your time and make short strokes. Above all; concentrate! Once mastered, You'll be calling yourself 'Babyface'

One of the best razors you can buy
This is a quality product as you would expect anything made in Japan.. it is well balanced and intelligently designed. it is very easy to use. Once you develop and refine your Technique. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
