Capcom's <i>other</i> zombie-themed franchise gets updated for PS4 in Dead Rising. Players take command of a photographer named Frank West, who thinks he's on the verge of a breakthrough story in the remote suburban town of Willamette. Yet this is no ordinary visit. He soon learns the unfriendly locals aren't just wary of the media -- they're hungry for flesh. Players must somehow get past hordes of zombies lining the aisles of the one place thought by West to be safe: a shopping mall. He was obviously wrong, but it's up to players to keep him from being <I>dead</I> wrong.<br><br>Unlike the carefully scripted games in the Resident Evil series, Dead Rising features a more open-ended, action-oriented design where players can freely explore the various mall stores to use whatever tools, weapons, or items they find, from frying pans and umbrellas to lawn mowers and bowling balls. Time keeps ticking away as players search for potential survivors as well as a way out, with the zombies growing stronger as the sun goes down and certain events only occurring at specific intervals. West will be able to replenish lost health by finding vending machines or the food court, and he can also snap pictures of the chaos and mayhem to unlock different bonuses.Product Identifiers

Great Game Day 1. A camera!
I remember when this first came out on the 360 and never came the PS3. I got rid of my 360 cause 3+ red rings of death it was a looser. Had to wait till the PS4 remaster to be able to play this amazing zombie game. I love that you get to take pictures with a camera and get grated on how well you shoot the shot. I never got to finish the game but now I will. I only played the first 60 min of the game but the nostalgia has got me going. But for some reason for me this is one of the better zombie games. The others do not do it for me. RE 4&5 are good but I think Dead Rising is much cooler. Dead Rising is a solid game with neat gameplay. Arcadie Zombie game
This game is one of the best zombie games i have ever played you could grab anything from the world (trash cans, tv sets, dumbells, lawnmowers) to destroy the mall infested. Also the protagonist does a variation of karate moves and other mma styles to kill the zombies. Excellent game!
