My granddaughters were confused at first, as to how to use it. You know kids, they see a huge black button and thing that's the way it turns on. But after I read the instructions, I showed them, that first you push one of the small little on/off button, then the large button guides the speed, and direction. Now they love it. But I do agree with them, as I too thought those two little things were only lights, but one is a button. PS; wish they would make a carousel next.
