Overall, this is my favorite snare stand...
Overall, this is my favorite snare stand of all time. It is the perfect balance of heavy duty and light weight. I like how the basket is centered relative to the stand and not offset. As long as the ball doesn’t start slipping, it will be a life-long stand for me! I have some Yamaha hardware that is 30 years old and still going strong. I imagine this stand will be no different.

Great stand, great adjustability, just a little too short.
The ball joint is great for a snare stand! Yamaha makes top notch stuff, there's no doubt. However, the snare stand should allow for about 3 more inches in height for me, because I am very tall. This is my only complaint about this stand.

Great Snare Stand
I’ve tried several other ball/socket snare stands and this is the best by far. The small footprint, double braced base makes positioning between pedals easier without sacrificing stability. Highly recommended.

Very heavy albeit small base, which makes it easy to position without the legs getting in the way
Superlative hardware... I love the heavy albeit small base, I'm a heavy player and this thing won't budge!!!

Built like a tank
Sturdy. Swivels and locks to the angle you want. You can easily remove the legs and attach the base to a hex rack leg with the right rack clamp.
