Close up
Nice macro lens to compliment the several zooms I already own. Reasonably compact well made lens covering the "standard" focal length plus macro capability. Be aware when using for close macro you have to be very near to the subject but all in as a useful walk around lens worth the money I paid as a used item on eBay.

This is a great lens
This is a great lens. I am mostly using it at the moment for my work capturing/archiving 35mm slides and negatives, and what an improvement it has made to my results. My copies have much more colour and contrast and need very little post production work. I haven't used it much for general photography yet but may even use it as my standard prime lens. It is very small and compact. Autofocus is great and locks on to slides and negatives instantly, with perfect results.

great lens
The very occasional focus issue. But on the whole a stunningly sharp lens that is neat, light and compact.
