a great xcvr for the money - a super deal
this xcvr is a real bargain for all the features u get - all bands plus 6 meters with a high quality receiver and simple to use. would make a great home or mobile rig.

Well pleased with the quality and design features!
This not a complete review since I have not had an opportunity to fully acquire the accompanying components to operate this amateur radio transceiver. But the unit is a feature packed radio of visible and attested quality. I am pleased with the compact size yet full featured design, the bright display, and the aesthetically pleasing layout. Looking forward to the actual performance that it’s reputation implies.

Good radio. Lots of unexplored features
Very good transceiver. I use it at home and made 5 contacts using 2- 20m hamsticks in a dipole configuration. When a station is strong, the sound quality is good. I'm getting reports of 5-5 running at 20W from New Jersey to Georgia. It has many features that I'm learning. YouTube has many help videos for this radio. The documentation is in Japanese.

very nice radio
Awesome radio, 100 watts of fun. works good with all modes including FT-8 on 40 meters and 6 meters. For SSB/CW dealt setting are good to go right out of the box

Good as new. Everything works.
The Yeasu FT-891 radio was definitely broken in (well used). I did a factory firmware reset and functionally radio is as good as new. Made one contact after hooking up to antenna and power source, printing the manual online and all appears in order.

A winner!
Excellent compact easy to use radio! it is very portable and light weight, excellent receiver and filters, 100w and easy to use despite the internal menu.

Great for POTA and other portable operation!
This is the Japanese version so it's limited to 50 watts on SSB and you lose a lot of 160m but I'm using this radio primarily for portable operation so neither of these are any bit of a concern. On my first POTA activation with this radio I made two contacts in Spain from Missouri on 20m while running 50 watts into a Super Antenna MP1. I am more than happy with it!

Compact, Powerful, Very Flexible, and almost unbelievable reception quality.
Best deal for radio amateurs that concentrate on digital FT8. Within my first 4 weeks I have all WAS states except 2 and that is on both 20 and 40 meters.

Good deal and good value
Excellent radio and tuner combo. They work well together. The sales listing was accurate and included the fact that the control cable was not included. I bought the cable from a third-party and all is well.
