Well worth having
Really easy to use. Clears the surface of the water quickly and can be left running (very quiet)or moved between aquariums. One of my aquariums had duckweed that came in on another plant then multipied. The skimmer cleared the lot. Great gadget that's well worth having.

Good quality product, silent, small (doesn't take up room in the tank) Should have a piece of fine mesh at inlet because one of my guppies swam inside while I was doing a water change and I didn't notice until I opened it to clean, it died.

Works very well, great quality and value.
Great little device. Had the top of my 4 foot tank crystal clear in less than 5 mins. Near silent in operation and flexible on position. Only issue is that you will need to turn it off for feeding otherwise it will suck in all the floating food and the little sponge clogs up quickly, so will need clearing every few days if you run it 24/7. Very small fish might get trapped in it, so keep this in mind.

Doing great job filtering surface for its size...it wven collect snails
Great power for its size.it even catch snails,but since low capacity need to wash it few times a week

Small and efficient
The skimmer is small and unobtrusive and very quickly removed the surface film that had built up. I had had problems with the build up of a dense foamy scum on the surface of the water of a new tank that I'm in the process of maturing, most of which I had been removing manually. Since installing the skimmer all trace of the scum has vanished as has the oily film that you occasionally see on the water's surface. A great little product.

The skimmer works well, I'd purchased it...
The skimmer works well, I'd purchased it as my aquarium had an oily residue built up over a few months and the skimmer did the job in 30 mins perfectly. Very happy with results. My only criticism is the design of the power cord that comes underneath the impeller which then needs to be tucked under a clip at the top of the unit. Looks a bit untidy but a minor detail.

good
Does it's job. Cosmetic flaw on the units, due to manufacturer bad packaging. Used on high flux is quite noisy and sometimes "misfires", squirting air mix in the tank. Suitable for intermitent use on lowest setting.

After using this skim for a few weeks I noticed that the electric cable at the back of the skin was starting to corrode down to the inner part of the wires very dangerous with that being inside a fish tank full of water..

Performs well for a small skimmer
Bought my last one of these over 3 years ago and was pleased with it. I had to buy replacement filter sponges and the suction pads failed to hold it to the glass after about a year which WAS a problem as they pushed into the filter itself but I bodged up holders with new suction pads! Hope this ones lasts as long.

Great little surface skimmer.
I bought this as my reef tank had a surface scum gathering in one corner and no amount of adjustment to the wave making pumps made a difference. So I have added this little surface skimmer not to filter but just to clear the surface. Does exactly what it says. Excellent.
