Wanted one for ages - thought they'd be stupid expensive.
Saves me having to clamber behind the saw table to operate the dust extractor which eventually got to be a total pain. The battery cover on the remote kept falling out and not holding in the battery. This was a disappointing nuisance till I binned that silly little piece of plastic and used a piece of electrical tape. Less than perfect, but at the price, and for the sheer convenience of no more clambering, I would actually still buy it.

brilliant device
I switch outside lights on and off in my garden, which are powered up from an detached garage internal power socket. This remote switches the control unit through conservatory windows then over 10meters to the garage then through a thick brick pillar in the garage where the power socket for the control unit is plugged in. It works a treat with no problems whatsoever. Cant believe how something this cheap works so well.

Brilliant bit of kit
I first purchase a similar item, but found it switched itself on, usually at night. As I needed it to switch on a piece of electronic equipment, it had to be foolproof. So far this has been very reliable.

3 Meter Mains Switch OFF!
Does what I required, Shuts down my TV from my setee by pressing a button as I am slightly disabled and my off mains plug is behind the TV !!.........So does the job before bed!

Excellent
Excellent idea. When I go to bed or go out I just press the button and it turns on all the items plugged into it, and turns it back on when I do the same when I return. Save my back every time as I had to bend to switch the mains off and on. Ideal for e.g. TV, Video and Sat Nav. I highly recommend. Bought another for spare.
