I took the chance and bought this more expensive ice cream maker. I'm so glad I did, homemade ice cream is devine. It's so easy to use and the actual churning time is less than 45 minutes. You don't have to think about freezing the bowl first, just make your mixture, leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours and then pop it in. Within a few minutes the maker is down to - 30°C. Wonderful. I highly recommend it.

speedy results
bought to make sugar free ice-cream for diabetic father-in-law. I also make it vegan for my own benefit. Decent sugar free ice-cream would be difficult to purchase in supermarket so this machine is being used twice a week . Have made peanut butter, hazelnut, strawberry, chocolate, lemon, blackcurrant, pineapple, coconut, raspberry, apricot, cherry and passionfruit. Most have been a great success. Usually it takes only 30 minutes to make the ice-cream which is faster than I expected. It makes less than I thought it would though because as the ice-cream thickens it forms two peaks above the paddle blades and pushes against the lid. Maybe 1litre including all ingredients. Easy to operate and clean. No regrets.

Fast, high quality results
This is the first self-freezing machine I’ve owned and I’ve been very impressed with the results. It’s dead easy to operate and is reassuringly ‘commercial’ in its build quality. It looks professional and utilitarian - which I like! Also good to know that all the spare parts are available if it ever needed repair, but I’m not expecting it to fail as m only using it domestically. It’s a big unit and quite loud in operation but I’m sure that’s true of all this type of equipment. The capacity is 2ltrs, which is more than many competing machines, and it’s helpful because ice cream mixture expands as it freezes and it would often overflow on previous machines I’ve used. It takes about 35 minutes I find to make one batch to ‘whippy’ consistency at which point the mixtures tends to stop moving around the paddle. The machine will stop automatically before damaging itself, but You can hear when the motor starts to labour, and that’s when I stop it. The display shows the current operating temperature, which is useful to gauge what it’s doing. Great machine!

Amazing piece of kit.
This machine has been an absolute boon. This machine is so easy to use and clean afterwards, looks good with its brushed staniless steel body, not to metion making the most suerb ice cream. Love it.

Dont think about it buy one it is brilliant.
The day after I received the icecream maker I made some strawberry icecream with strawberries I grew in the garden and it was better than any icecream that I have bought. It's a great product and would recommend to anyone thinking of buying one.

Straightforward and effective
Simple operation; seems to chill quickly and churn efficiently. No specific settings for sorbet, gelato etc, just off and on to time. It might be nice for the instructions to have a bit more detail about ice-cream principles and recipes, but they are fairly easy to find elsewhere. It's pretty big and heavy - definitely designed for a catering setting.

Very easy to clean
This is an excellent machine I have never made ice cream before till I bought this machine and I’m making it every day now what a great investment
