how my audio has improved
the onboard audio for my desktop was not loud enough. and was seriously low on my front panel jacks. i installed this card and connected the intel audio header . the built in amp is loud enough that my logitech headset is louder than before. i cant even hear my gaming pc's fans that spin loudly while in game. a good purchase. was easy to plugin and get drivers.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Sounds fantastic!!!
The Sound Blaster Audigy FX sound card is my favorite, and I have tried many. No need to bore you with long speech so let me just say this. An excellent sound card and the pricing is the best I've seen for this card. Shipping super fast and you get what is described. Easy to install. It takes a little playing around with the Pro Studio, not because of it but for your speaker setup, size room, etc. Did I mention increased volume levels. Not as good as they used to be
If you've had one of these before, expect the same power and clarity, but the new loudness equalization (compression) is no longer as smooth sounding. When watching movies, or other dynamic content, the volume will pump and distort. It's very hard to get under control without being drastic. The new UI is arguably better than the older Creative Console Launcher, and I feel like this new tool has more options as far as dynamic range is considered, but I am still a little disappointed in its effectiveness. I still highly recommend the product over most built-in audio solutions that come stock with a motherboard. Ultimately, sound engineers these days need to learn how to mix TV shows and movies better. Volume changes are ridiculous. That said, since the industry isn't going to change anytime soon, the other SB X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card handled those changes much better. If you have an old PCI slot on your computer, get that one instead. If all you have is PCIe, this card will do.

The original installation CD works well in Windows 10 64bits
The Sound Blaster Audigy Fx card works well in Windows 10, at least in the 64bit version (1703 to be more specific). I imagine it does in other versions as well. The installation CD drivers can be perfectly installed in Win10. I believe that the Audigy SE still has a better sound quality and extras. Better than your Motherboard.
I bought this to make my 5.1 Logitech speaker system more customize able and it did, I was going to go for the more expensive creative SB live but as in past experience, unless tour an audiophile and have some kicking equipment the difference is not night and day.
