Well suited for purpose
Airport Express allows you to integrate old audio equipment into a home Wi-Fi network - at least for MacOS/iOS devices. On updating the firmware I was able to get the device to support AirPlay2 on iPhones and MacBooks most of the time - resurrecting an old amplifier/speaker combination. I do find it a little sensitive at times although this may relate to the vagaries of wi-fi in general and the rather poor router in my particular setup. The box is small, neat and tidy, getting just a little warm only. The usual Apple build quality and its being a deprecated product made me happy to buy second hand for outlined purpose.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Airport Express for HiFI

Cheap way to add dumb speakers to Airplay
Less than half the price of new gizmos that add Airplay support to speakers, with the added value of adding printers to your WiFi network (but not AirPrint) and the option to extend your network to attics and other WiFi cold spots.
