Great tool, check it before use
Uprights were loose at the base when unboxed. Both the uprights and calipers therefore had to be adjusted to center. Not a hard job, (thanks YouTube) but near impossible to get exactly right without Park centering tool or perfectly dished rim. My feeling is it was an error from the factory as set screws on both collars were very tight (box was undamaged), just not spread fully to hold uprights in place.

Learn a skill
The Park TS-2.2 is a big step in the quality and burliness of a stand for wheel building or truing, compared to the "home use" versions available for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. It's not so much the convenience of quick and accurate knob adjustments, or the 19mm centering nut adjusters (I keep a box wrench dedicated for the Park), as it is the steadiness of the set-up. The tilt base is handy, although not necessary. With or without the base, the stand works perfect, and I like the base for the parts bins and about 4" set-off from the workspace edge where it's bolted down with 3 deck bolts. With wheel buils about $100.00 and truing around $25-$40.00, the stand will pay for itself quick, and have you rolling on your own schedule...no waiting for a shop to open to pick up wheels. Well worth the effort to learn how to build/true. Good Luck

Awesome truing stand!
This stand is easy to use and adjust. Once it has been adjusted, it stays adjusted. The newer caliper arms will fit most mountain bike rims with the tire in place. It is also heavy enough that it will not slide all over the table while building a wheel.

Quality stand
Professional results from a quality tool. Make sure you calibrate the calipers w/ a properly dished wheel as they are not 100% calibrated from the factory. It is a simple procedure on Park Tool's website.

Well made, works great.
The Park Tool TS-2.2 truing stand is awesome. Well made out of thick steel, self adjusting when you close in the arms to true your wheel. It's a pleasure to work on a wheel in this stand.

Worth it
Costly but worth it if you are into properly truing bike wheels. A must for every bike shop.
