Plastic But Still Fantastic!
A marvelous centerpiece or standalone Batmobile for the shelf. However, one drawback - this Batmobile is made of plastic and looks it. As a 50 year old, it feels a little funny spending not a little money and devoting 18" of shelf space to a plastic car. Plastic, meaning toy-like. Much less like a 'collectable". But it's the classic '66 Barris Batmobile so it has a lot of credit. The metal versions, though much smaller, look better because of the gloss and gleam of smooth black paint - and this can't compare. It's size, on the other hand, commands attention. This guy is going on a shelf with other Batmobile models in a '66 collection including: Hot Wheels 18:1, the Corgi 267, Polar Lights scale models and the most recently issued 1:25 version, this Batmobile makes an excellent centerpiece. 6" figures fit perfectly. A batmobile this large would likely be overpriced for the general marketplace so plastic as a material would be inevitable. Awesome Car
I bought this for my grandson and when I received it I thought WOW! I want one of these. He LOVES and has not stopped playing with it.
