S7 active has unique and desirable features for me.
The phone is well designed and has a powerful processor. I especially like the 3 tactile buttons on the bottom (active screen, menu, back), as opposed to the touch sensor buttons on all Samsung phones now. The new Galaxy S8 Active does not have tactile buttons, which was a mistake in my opinion. For users with bigger hands like me, my palms and thumbs easily touch these buttons inadvertently, and the tactile buttons prevent a lot of fumbling around when I type or navigate phone apps. Overall, it's also a great phone. It comes with all the power and performance of the S7 model, and is even more rugged. My only design recommendation to Samsung is to stop placing the power button directly across the volume buttons. They have been doing this for too long on the galaxy models and frankly it makes no sense. Ideal for my use
Lightweight, sized right, quick processor makes for great experience with any online browsing or video watching. Expandable SD card slot is an obvious plus. No issues at all with the battery life. The camera is awesome! I use Bluetooth for music regularly, and it connects across a longer distance than my old phone. The screen does seem to scratch a bit easier than expected, so I would advise getting a screen protector early on. No complaints here though, because the one I purchased was pre-owned and the screen was immaculate. Great phone
The phone was in great condition. Works as described. I have Straight talk service. I had to change the APN to be able to use internet and multimedia messaging, easy-peasy. I also had to purchase a new SIM card because my current SIM card was not the right size. That wasn't a big deal at all. If you have a mini micro SIM card your set. Great Phone at a Great Price!
My new phone was dying so it was time for a new one. I wanted one with a battery that would last all day, and I originally got an S7 Edge, but I sent that back after just 2 few hours with it. I knew it would break easily after actually looking at it closely, and it was a fingerprint magnet. I did a lot more research and decided to get the S7 Active, and I'm so happy that I did. It is the best phone that I've ever had, and the rugged exterior with enhanced screen protection are phenomenal. The larger battery is just icing on the cake. I use it all day, and at the end of the day I usually have at least 30% left. It feels great in the hand as well. I am OCD so I got a case for it in addition to a glass screen protector. Even with all that on it, it is still very easy to put in my pocket. Great phone with one notorious display flaw
This model is notorious for the vertical pink line on the display. Samsung should fix these for LIFE! It is one thing to have a relative few of them doing this, but ebay is FULL of listings disclosing the flaw. Other than this VERY annoying problem, I've been otherwise very pleased with it after owning it for over 2 years. Looks good but crashes often
Although the price was very attractive and the shipping was fast, I have to give a 3/5 because the phone keeps crashing! I realize pre-owned products come with no warranty or guarantees, but I would have expected the phone to be refurbished, not just "reset". The display was an 8/10 and it was clean and in good cosmetic condition. Excellent phone
It's an extremely durable phone with great features. So much faster than my Galaxy S5 Active that I had to retire after 3 years of faithful service. All in all a pretty good value
It's very durable, easy to operate. great camara. The only reason why iI didn't give it 5 stars is because it heats up from time to time. Especally when charging or watching a video.
