Cautiously Optimistic after only a Week and a Half (UPDATE AFTER 9 MONTHS)
My wife has Psoriasis and has been using steroid creams for over 6 years without any noticeable improvement. She has only been using this for a week and a half and some of the cracks on her hands have already started healing. We are currently cautiously optimistic that further treatment, with more time on each treatment, will continue to help and possibly even reverse some of the damage.
After much research I found that the 311 nM wave length (the lamp used in this device) is supposed to be the optimal wave length for treatment while minimizing the possibility of adverse side effects.
This device feels like a quality device. The lamp was even installed for us and the directions were clear and very simple to follow.
After trying other treatments without any positive results, I would recommend this device for anyone that has Psoriasis and isn't seeing any benefits from traditional treatment or simply wants to try an alternative treatment.
The included goggles and timer work well for her as well.
One last note. The price for this is less than our copay for 2 tubes of the steroid cream she was using (about 20 days worth).
UPDATE: My wife used this religiously for about 6 months and her hands were noticeably better. She then tried Cow's milk Colostrum and she had a reaction making her hands go back to where they were before starting. She got frustrated and stopped the Colostrum AND the NB UVB light. Her hands became worse than ever. She started back on the UVB light and within 3 weeks her hands are looking better again. The NB UVB light is the only common denominator and I am convinced this is at least part of the answer and in my non-medical opinion, the majority of the answer. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has eczema or psoriasis as an additional treatment. Again, I am simply stating our results as a non-medical person but it was worth trying for $169 even if it didn't work.
