This older original master sounds like it is supposed to sound, the way you heard it back then
Thank goodness for sites like eBay where you can still find older masters on classics like this CD album. The most recent mastered release ruined the performances by adding SUPER HEAVY compression, too much bass, and too much treble. You know, that "new" sound where everything is just too loud from start to end, taking all the dynamics, love, and life out of the original recordings. This CD says AAD right on the package. Do you remember when all CDs would alert the buyer of the recording and mastering format used? If you don't, AAD means analog tapes were used in the studio recordings, analog equipment and tape was used in the mastering process, and of course the disc is a digital recording.

(Not) Running On Empty With This Release. -Otto
Reminds me of a Girl I once knew. 1977! All of J.B.s' albums from this period are great. Checkout this one then move onto the one with the old car on the cover. (forget the title). J.B. wrote many of The Eagle hits like: "Take It Easy" and knows J.D. Souther another Eagle writer. In other words...they know what they're doing. Go for it if you like The Eagles! -Otto, T.M.

Great title
this is a great CD, It's got the hits Running on Empty, You love the Thunder, and The Load Out and Stay, and other great songs, It's a classic from the 1970's by Jackson Browne.
